The Regional Port Management Authority headed by its General Manager Prof. Hanie A. Bud, held a meeting with the Mayor of the Municipality of Maluso, Basilan, Province last November 16, 2012 at the Municipal Mayors Office. The meeting was held to discuss matters regarding the operations of the Port of Maluso and the possible turn-over of its management to the RPMA-ARMM who has jurisdiction on the said port. The said port is currently managed by the LGU Maluso through the Office of the Mayor by virtue of a MOA or Memorandum of Agreement entered into by the Philippine Ports Authority National and that of the LGU of Maluso which have already expired.
